“Metamorphosis”

I usually work with more then one canvas at the time. Some are very well planned, down to the smallest details, and some are made from scratch.

 

On this one I started with black gesso on the canvas, so I could work with the light instead of the dark.

The intension here was to start with no plan, no form, no idea, just chaos. And then let the motives and colors emerge as I moved forward in the painting.

And this is what I ended up with.

 

This painting was painted over a period of 1 month.
