The White Tiger:

The White Tiger is a supernatural figure who presides over the Western, or autumn quadrant of the sky. The spirit of the White Tiger combines the courage and fierceness of a soldier with an ethereal, magisterial dignity. In China, the tiger is considered the king of all beasts and represents powerful energy. Further, the tiger is associated with Tsai Shen Yeh, the Chinese God of Wealth. Symbolism of the tiger deals with (but is not limited to) power, energy, royalty, protection, generosity, illumination and unpredictability. The white tiger is the ruler of the Fall season and governor of the Metal elementals. It was said that the white tiger would only appear when the emperor ruled with absolute virtue, or if there was peace throughout the world. It also symbolizes facing personal truths, strength through conviction, for that you have to have great inner strength and powerful convictions. And uniqueness, the ability to stand apart from the group. The white tiger within is beautiful, powerful, quiet, gentle, and holy, calling no attention to self, or showing carnality, but calling attention to God only instead. It is also respectful of our wishes. It will stay behind, and remain uninvolved unless we accept it.

 

The lynx:

Lynx appears to have a secretive smile like the clichéd cat who ate the pet bird. It is a smile of knowing that which others do not. Her phase of power is winter which is symbolic of wisdom. Lynx’s energies include visions of the visible and invisible and secrets. The Celts believed Lynx had the powers of keen sight, vigilance and suspicion which lead to understanding arcane secrets and shamanic mysteries. She also symbolized helping with divining talents, developing psychic abilities and finding out the truth of people and those who are close to them. During the Middle Ages, it was believed that Lynx’s urine could solidify and turn into a carbuncle which is a ruby or a stone that sent out its light instead of reflecting it. The Native Americans call Lynx the Keeper of Secrets. She knows the secrets, but is not the guardian of them. Lynx gives the power of clairvoyance to have inner visions of others and what they keep hidden from all, even themselves. She teaches when to speak and when to hold silence.

 

The Snow Owl:

People in Europe and America have long considered the snowy owl as “God of the Mountain”; a symbol of wisdom and trust and a bringer of happiness. In Greek mythology the snowy owl was known as the governor of knowledge and the arts, and in Aesop’s fables it is described as having powers of prophecy. The snowy owl can rotate its head up to 270°, giving it an extremely wide range of vision. White feathers cover its body all the way to its toes, and its short beak is buried beneath feathers on its face. Unlike most other owls, the snowy owl is active during daylight hours.  The indian warriors that excelled in combat wore a cap of owl feathers to symbolize their bravery. Messenger of secrets.

 

The Orca (killer whale):

Known as the “Lord of the Ocean” the Orca is said to be the guardian of the ocean, with seals as his slaves and dolphins as his warriors. It is believed that Killer Whales are closely related to humans, and it is said that when a human drowns the human is taken down by Killer Whales into their deep villages and transformed into a Killer Whale. It symbolizes Power, Balance, Health, Longevity, and a wild untamed spirit. Orcas are dolphins and dolphins symbolize channeling in a dream. A channel is someone who can communicate directly with spirits and Angels. It is said that orca medicine teaches lessons in leadership, communication, and working together as a team. For those who follow a shamanistic path, it is believed that the orcas can turn matter into stars and aid in the creation of the cosmic universe. It is believed that the mere song of the orcas have healing qualities. The vibrations from killer whale songs can heal those who are physically, emotionally, and spiritually sick. The Panda:

Pandas are cute and cuddling in appearance yet they are very strong. When Panda surfaces it is good to work on balancing anything that is off skelter in your life. The Panda also represents diplomacy. The Panda’s appearance is quite exotic, it is likely interested in the exploration of exotic lands and cultures different from their own. Agile tree climber, the Panda has as a unique ability to tap into higher knowledge. Panda medicine is a wonderful teacher for soul development. Chinese books over two thousand years old show giant pandas with mystical powers. People thought that they could ward off evil spirits and natural disasters. Today, pandas are believed to be a symbol of peace and good fortune. A panda can tell you that you are not getting enough of what you need – either in your diet or even in the form of “soul food” to encourage and inspire you. Pandas come to tell you that you are special and unique and need to ensure that you are giving yourself what you need in order to reach your potential.

 

The Penguin:

It symbolizes fatherhood, the understanding of feminine energy. Astral projection, patience, endurance, lucid dreaming and teaches grace in emotions and actions. The Butterfly:

Consider for a moment the kind of energy this expends. Herein lies the deepest symbolic lesson of the butterfly. She asks us to accept the changes in our lives as casually as she does. The butterfly unquestioningly embraces the chances of her environment and her body. This unwavering acceptance of her metamorphosis is also symbolic of faith. Here the butterfly beckons us to keep our faith as we undergo transitions in our lives. Keywords are resurrection, transition, celebration, lightness, time and soul. It’s connection with the soul is rather fitting. We are all on a long journey of the soul. On this journey we encounter endless turns, shifts, and conditions that cause us to morph into ever-finer beings. At our soul-journey’s end we are inevitably changed – not at all the same as when we started on the path. To take this analogy a step further, we can look again to the grace and eloquence of the butterfly and realize that our journey is our only guarantee. Our responsibility to make our way in faith, accept the change that comes, and emerge from our transitions as brilliantly as the butterfly.
